Clerkenwell Films have been commissioned to produce PARADOX, a new high-concept series for BBC 1. Written by Lizzie Mickery, PARADOX begins when an astrophysicist working at a British space laboratory, contacts the police after receiving rogue images on his computer which seem to have come from space. They show pieces of a major incident or crime in which many are killed. An incident he predicts will take place in 18 hours time.
Tamzin Outhwaite is attached to star with Marcus Wilson producing and Simon Cellan Jones directing. Murray Ferguson will exec-produce. Filming begins in Manchester in June ‘09.
Clerkenwell Films has been commissioned to make Misfits, a new comedy drama series for E4. Written by Howard Overman, the 6x60mins series follows a bunch of unruly teenagers on Community Service who develop strange powers after they get caught in a freak storm. The series is the company’s first commission for Channel 4 and filming will begin in the summer of 2009.
