Andrew Lincoln was voted 'outstanding actor in drama series' for his performance as Robert Bridge in the second series of AFTERLIFE and Sally Hawkins won 'outstanding actress in a TV Film' for her performance as Anne Elliot in PERSUASION.
Clerkenwell Films' THE DIARY OF A NOBODY, an adaptation of George and Weedon Grossmith's comedy classic, was broadcast in April 2007 as part of BBC 4's Edwardian season. THE DIARY OF A NOBODY was written by Andrew Davies (Bleak House, Tipping the Velvet, Pride and Prejudice), starred Hugh Bonneville (Five Days) and was directed by Susanna White (Jane Eyre, Bleak House).
Clerkenwell Films' adaptation of PERSUASION broadcast in the UK on the 1st April 2007 as part of ITV1's Jane Austen Season. The cast included Sally Hawkins (Twenty Thousand Streets Under The Sky, Fingersmith), Rupert Penry-Jones (Spooks), Anthony Head (Buffy) and Julia Davis (Nighty Night). Simon Burke (Sons and Lovers, White Teeth) wrote the screenplay and Adrian Shergold (Dirty Filthy Love, Low Winter Sun) was the director.
AFTERLIFE has won two awards at the 46th annual Monte Carlo Television Festival. Murray Ferguson was named Outstanding European Producer of the Year and Lesley Sharp was named Outstanding Actress of Year, beating off competition from US series such as Six Feet Under, 24 and Lost.
Lesley Sharp has won an RTS award for her performance in AFTERLIFE. At the programme awards dinner, held at the Grosvenor Hotel on 14th March, Lesley was named best actress for her role as Alison Mundy in the first series of AFTERLIFE. The jury described the winning actress as "one of the most versatile in the business, who adds layers and depth to each and every one of her roles".
LOSING IT, a single drama for ITV starring Martin Clunes, has been shortlisted for a Televisual Bulldog Award. Writer Paul Mendelson (creator of My Hero) has been nominated for his script in the drama writer category. LOSING IT is a poignant, moving yet funny drama which tells the story of a man who discovers he is suffering from testicular cancer. Based on the writer's own experiences, the story is told with confidence, wit and a lightness of touch. LOSING IT broadcast on ITV1 in Autumn 2006.
